Dennis McCann grew up in Riverside County, California, where he developed a strong appreciation for community involvement and public service. He attended California State University, San Marcos, earning a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science. Following graduation, Dennis moved to Orange County to pursue his legal education. During law school, he served as Managing Editor of the Law Review and worked as a Senior Research Fellow with the Center for Family Wealth & Legacy Planning.
Since 2010, Dennis has practiced exclusively in estate planning, trust administration, and probate law. He is a Certified Specialist in Estate Planning, Trust, and Probate Law by the State Bar of California Board of Legal Specialization. Dennis frequently serves as a court-appointed attorney and guardian ad litem for the Riverside County Superior Court, assisting in a variety of conservatorship and probate matters. He is also a regular presenter on estate planning strategies, incapacity planning, and trust administration for Southern California professional groups.
At McCann Ellis Law, Dennis advises individuals, families, and business owners on all aspects of estate planning and business succession planning. He designs and implements comprehensive plans aimed at preserving wealth, protecting loved ones, and ensuring long-term stability. Dennis works collaboratively with financial advisors, CPAs, and insurance professionals to deliver an integrated and forward-thinking approach for his clients.
Dennis previously served on the Board of Directors for the Southwest Riverside County Bar Association and remains an active member of the Trusts & Estates, Elder Law, and Business Law sections of the Riverside County Bar Association. He is also a member of the Temecula Valley Bar Association and WealthCounsel. His peers have repeatedly recognized him as a “Super Lawyer,” an honor reserved for a small percentage of attorneys based on peer nominations and professional achievement.
Outside the office, Dennis enjoys hiking the Santa Rosa Plateau, mountain biking in the Cleveland National Forest, and spending time with his family exploring the trails and parks around Murrieta and Temecula.
