Caroline Lim was raised in Boulder, Colorado, where she developed an early interest in analytical problem-solving and public service. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Economics and Public Policy from the University of Colorado Denver, graduating with honors. Inspired by her involvement in community outreach programs, she pursued her Juris Doctor at the University of Washington School of Law, where she served as a research assistant to Professor Malcolm Reyes on a project exploring developments in modern business governance.
During law school, Caroline gained practical experience through an internship with the civil division of the King County Attorney’s Office and volunteer work with the Cascadia Community Legal Center. These experiences strengthened her commitment to serving individuals, families, and small businesses.
After passing the California Bar, Caroline began her legal career as an associate at Weldon, Pierce & Hadley, a business-focused firm in Sacramento, California. Following a firm transition, she joined Larkin & O’Shea LLP in San Luis Obispo, where she expanded her work in estate planning, trust administration, and business entity formation. Although she appreciated the Central Coast, she ultimately relocated to Murrieta to be closer to extended family.
Caroline later deepened her expertise under the mentorship of attorney Frank Keller, Of Counsel to McCann Ellis Law. Before retiring, Frank provided invaluable guidance that allowed Caroline to refine her knowledge in fiduciary duties, probate-related matters, and the formation and maintenance of corporations and LLCs. Today, Caroline is an associate attorney at McCann Ellis Law, where she practices primarily in estate planning, trust administration, and business law. She is also appointed by the court to represent proposed conservatees in limited conservatorship proceedings.
Outside her legal work, Caroline enjoys spending time outdoors, reading, and supporting community causes.
Caroline is committed to offering clarity, compassion, and steady guidance to every client she serves.
